ME113 (Lathe Working)
ME113 (Shaping)
ME113 (Fusion Welding)
Batches / Groups / Examination
Usually, four batches will be formed by the academic office in every semester. Each batch
will be divided into five groups internally at the central workshop. All the five groups of a specific batch
will be doing their practical classes on a particular three-hour slot of a specific day as per the Institute
time-table. In general, each student will undergo two practical sessions in each trade [Lathe, Shaper, Wood
Working, Fitting, and Welding]. There will be a practical test at the end of the semster. There will also be an
end-semester quiz - the questions will primarily be based on the learning that the students are expected to
pick-up in the course of the practical classes. The date of the practical examination for each batch will
be anounced in the central workshop. The date of the end-semester quiz will be anounced by the academic
office. Each student is also expected to follow all the safety norms very very strictly as suggested in the
link me113_for_web.pdf.
