Course Description This course introduces the basic concepts in Nuclear
Engineering. The topics covered would include Fission and its
characteristics, Fundamentals of computation of neutron reaction rates,
Elementary concepts in neutron moderation, Diffusion theory and its application
to reactor criticality estimation, Elementary aspects of neutron kinetics,
Fundamental concepts of heat removal in nuclear systems, Safety aspects and
biological effects of nuclear radiation, Nuclear Reactor Systems Pre-requisites None |
