Well certainly a most apt name for a festival that even in its most elementary form applauds the power of knowledge. An event where different sectors of industry and academia are brought together to facilitate a pleasant and yet vibrant exchange of knowledge.
Radiance, my friends, is the Annual Research & Technological Festival of Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay , organized by Mechanical Engineering Association . Conceptualized in 2007, Radiance over the years has proved its mettle by bridging the gap between an academician’s theoretical knowledge and an industry professional’s solutions to real life technical problems. And with v4.0 all geared up for 13-14 March 2010, Radiance is coming back and it is bigger than ever. Spanning from mind-crunching treasure hunts to research paper presentations, from never-seen-before workshops to inspiring lectures to designing competitions, we bring you an arsenal of events that endeavors to explore every dimension and aspect of the science that we call "Mechanical Engineering”
The RADIANCE celebration has been conceived to serve multi-fold objectives
- To foster fellowship amongst the members of mechanical engineering fraternity,
- To bring experts from industry and academia on a common platform for exchange of thoughts and ideas,
- To provide a window for presentation of creative abilities of students through presentation of technical papers and project works,
- To enable entertainment and learning through arrangements of invited lectures and workshops,
- To charge up young minds by facilitating their meeting with great achievers and iconic individuals,
- And, lastly to bring out challenges and opportunities in mechanical engineering.
