Apr. 2000-Oct. 2001: Senior Engineeer in Heat and Mass Transfer
Division,
Engineers India
Limited, New Delhi.
Oct. 1999-Apr. 2000: Engineeer in Heat and Mass Transfer
Division, Engineers India Limited, New Delhi.
In Engineers India Limited, I was involved with the following projects:
- Energy Benchmarking and Targeting: Establishment of energy
benchmarks and identification of energy conservation opportunities
for different primary and secondary units in thirteen Indian
Refineries.
- Gas Dehydration Unit (GDU):
Process design and engineering package for M/s GAIL, Pata.
- Cold-finger Technology for GDU:
Detailed simulation and process feasibility study of cold-finger
technology for improving dehydration potential in GDU.
- Energy Integration of Crude Distillation Unit:
Process design and development of energy integration techniques for
process design of Crude and Vacuum Distillation Unit with low-level energy
recovery, better crude preheat train design, and yield enhancement through
deep-cut vacuum distillation for M/s BPCL, Bombay.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs):
Evaluation of energy conservation potential and application of VFDs in Air
Cooled Heat Exchangers.
- Energy Audit Study:
Detailed energy audit study of entire Gujarat Refinery Complex for M/s
IOCL including simulation and energy integration of selected units.
Prior to joining EIL, New Delhi, I was involved with two major industrial
projects undertaken at I.I.T., Bombay:
M/s Reliance Petroleum Ltd: Heat integration of 18 units and fuel
and loss targets for Jamnagar refinery and petrochemical complex.
M/s Engineers India Ltd: Energy analysis of stand-alone
distillation columns.
