Should the problem interest me and should I have the time, there is a
range of engagement models that I could offer.

with substantial deliverables - typically, technology/system

significant time and resources to work on the problem closely.

require me as an advisor. My role will be in the form of giving design
directions or to briefly ratify approaches that you may be taking
to solve it. I will not participate in the details of project execution.
- Mid level of engagement: In this model, I could participate in
design reviews and provide detailed inputs on design
directions. However, the responsibility for execution will be with you.

consultant?
Yes. I am a full-time employee of IIT Bombay. The Dean R&D's Office needs to
approve of any agreement involving me as a consultant.

the consultant agreement?
IITB seeks to be an equal partner in IP development. Usually, IITB
would like a fair share of the developed IP. The exact terms for IP
sharing is project/agreement specific.

This depends on the level of my engagement in the project,
expectations from me and the IP sharing agreement. In short, it is
project/problem specific.
