Developed and delivered lectures (40 hours), which have been video recorded, for a course on Advanced Strength of Materials under the National Program in Technology Enhanced Learning, Government of India. The video course has been transmitted across the country through a national educational TV channel for the benefit of undergraduate students and course instructors across the country since early part of 2006.

1.      Leader of Design Engineering Group, Mech. Engg. Dept., IIT Bombay, 1990 to 1996. Responsible for guiding the laboratorydevelopments (in Material testing, vibration, fracture mechanics, etc.), giving directions for new academic programmes, and coordinating the activities of a group of 15 faculty members.

 

2.      Member, Undergraduate Academic Programme Evaluation Committee (UGAPEC), 1997 to 1998. This is an Institute Level Committee responsible for smooth functioning of Academic Performance Evaluation System.

 

3.      Convener, UGAPEC, 1998 to 1999. This involved the responsibility of leading the Committee in its smooth functioning and taking care of day to day academic performance evaluation related problems of 1200 undergraduate students.

 

4.      Professor-in-Charge, Placements, 1998 to 2001. Heading the Section dealing with campus placements of all (UG and PG) students of the Institute.

                                   

5.        Member, Advisory Committee for Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC),

2001 to 2004. This Committee frames policies governing the research and consultancy   activities funded by public and private industries/organizations.
