Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT Bombay is organizing a unique two-day program to engage pre-final and final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in research activities of our department. This program combines informative talks by faculty members, a comprehensive tour of the IIT Bombay campus, and exploration of various teaching and research facilities within the Mechanical Engineering Department. The event is organized by the Mechanical Engineering department, with support from faculty members and student volunteers (both undergraduate and postgraduate). Additionally, select participants will receive reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses, and the department will sponsor their meals.

Objective: To introduce pre-final and final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students from engineering colleges nationwide to the research facilities and activities within the Mechanical Engineering department, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Date: Tentatively scheduled for Jan 5th and 6th, 2024
Duration: Two days
Venue: Mechanical Enginneering Department, IIT Bombay
Accomodation: IIT Bombay's hostels or guesthouse (subject to availability and approval of authorities)

Will I get a certificate to participate in this event?
- No.
Will I get my train tickets reimburssed?
- Yes. We will reimburse train tickets for selected participants for the shortest possible route. We provide details regarding train ticket reimbursement to participants in the invitation letter.
Will you provide accomodation?
- Yes. However, due to limited availability, we would be able to take care of accomodation for selected participants. We will provide accomodation details in the invitation letter.
How about food?
- Morning Tea and Lunch will be provided by the department to all invited participants.
How about incidents/accidents during travel or event?
- All invited participants are resposible for their ownn safety and well-being. IIT Bombay or Mechanical Engineering Department, IITB takes no responsibility in this regard. All invited participants will be asked to fill out a declaration form in this regard.
I do not require any travel or accomodation support but I would really like to attend the event?
- Please make sure to indicate this in the registration form. It may be possible to accomodate more participants in case participant wants to opt-out of travel/accomodation support.
