The application of solar thermal processes for large scale hot water demand (temperatures of up to 70° C) can significantly reduce the use of fossil energy in hotels, laundries, restaurants, canteens, etc. STPH with medium (up to 200° C) or high temperature range (over 250° C) can also be used economically in many industrial sectors like textile, pulp & paper, pharmaceuticals, leather, food processing, dairy or electroplating. ,br.The IITB and RENAC have teamed together, with the support of the GIZ, to conduct a 3-day (Module 1) and 5-day (Module 2) training course on STPH and its applications at low, medium and high temperature range. The first two days of the course will introduce the technology and cover the lower temperature applications and processes, while the last three days will delve in more detail and cover the higher temperature applications. COURSE OBJECTIVES
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?The proposed course has a strong technical focus and is manly targeted at engineers and technicians in the sector of consultancy, project development and industries STPH can be used. A good understanding of heat generation techniques and process heat generation as well as basic thermodynamic knowledge will be required to be able to follow this course. Exiting solar-specific know-how is not required. The sectors that the participants come from might include: hotel and hospitality, textile, dairy, pharmaceutical, paper, food processing, electroplating, etc.Potential target persons:
