• Won INSA-DFG Young Scientist Award and visited Germany during April - June 1998.
• Won Wilkinson Sword, a prestigious rolling trophy in HAL given to the best management trainee,1985.
• Won KCP Endowment Award given to the best B.E. project in Anna University, Madras,1984.

Distinction

• Member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of CAD/CAM.
• Was a consultant to VICOMTech, San Sebastian (Spain) during July, 2003 and guided them in configuring a volumetric NC simulation system.
• Was a consultant in CNC and RP at Mercedes-Benz Technology Centre of Daimler Chrysler AG, Sindelfingen, Germany during June – July , 2000.
• Have reviewed papers for several international journals.

Honorary Assignments

• Member of a Steering Committees of Department of Information Technology (DIT).
• Served in several committees of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for project selection, accreditation and approval of PG courses.
• Member of an expert committee of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad to advise them in setting up High Performance Visualization and Rapid Prototyping facilities in April 2004. This project was funded by DST, World Bank and ICICI.
• Have served in several faculty selection committees in the engineering colleges.
