JRF Opening at Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay
Junior Research Fellow position at IIT Bombay in the area of Mechanical and Mechatronic Design of Legged Robots or various kinds. Initial offer will be of approximately three months which could be extended to up to two years. Salary INR 31k/month + HRA. Candidates should have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and must have a GATE score. The candidate should have provable experience in designing, fabricating and assembling mechanical systems. Candidates should be familiar with 3D modeling and 2D drawings of parts with CAD tools such as Fusion 360/Solid Works. Candidates should be familiar with basic manufacturing processes including but not limited to turning, milling, CNC, 3D Printing. Hands-on experience with mechanical fabrication would be considered valuable. Knowledge of machine design elements is desirable. Candidates should also be extremely comfortable using computer applications for word processing and spreadsheets. Programming experience in MATLAB will be considered a big positive.
